JOURNAL OF EAST-EUROPEAN AND ASIAN STUDIES welcomes manuscript and book review submissions either by email or regular mail.

General Submission Guidelines

-     Article manuscripts should be roughly 8,000-12,000 words (including endnotes). We will consider larger manuscripts, though they may be published sequentially. We also invite book reviews that should not exceed 1000-2000 words or book review essays that should not exceed 4000 words.

-    Manuscripts must include an abstract and keywords.

-    Manuscripts should be submitted in English.

-    JEEAS does not publish manuscripts that have been published before elsewhere.

-    Manuscripts submitted by e-mail should be in double copy: one copy attached as a Microsoft Word 2003 document (.doc), containing the author(s) contacts (mailing addresses, phone, fax, and email address) as well as a short professional CV featured on the cover letter and another copy attached as a PDF document, without the author(s)’ names or any other references that might lead to the identification of the author. -    Manuscripts submitted by regular mail should be in triple copy: one copy containing the author(s) contacts (mailing addresses, phone, fax, and email address) as well as a short professional CV featured on the cover letter and two copies without the author(s)’ names or any other references that might lead to the identification of the author.  JEEAS conducts an anonymous peer review process during which the names of the authors are not revealed to the reviewers or the other way around in the hope of ensuring a fair assessment of the quality of published manuscripts.

 Please keep in mind that it may take a few weeks before confirmation of publication is brought to the attention of the authors due to the review process. Manuscripts submitted by regular mail will not be returned.

 Guidelines for the authors

JEEAS welcomes manuscripts on all aspects of security affairs, international relations, regional studies, comparative politics, case studies in the fields of Political Science and International Politics, with strong theoretical or empirical emphasis. Authors should not, however, limit themselves to the topics suggested here and may submit articles on other innovative issues and approaches.

JEEAS is a biannual publication. The peer review process may take up to two and a half months, while editing and publication may take another one-two month(s). The process may be longer for authors who are asked to revise their manuscripts before publication. Once accepted, manuscripts may be published Online First based on the author(s)’ agreement.

Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc and PDF formats as suggested above, typed single-spaced, Garamond font 13, with endnotes and references. If the manuscripts contain any tables, pictures, diagrams, etc., make sure and send them attached as .JPEG documents as well. Note that they will be published in black and white though.

We encourage authors to submit manuscripts with short concise headings and we encourage the use of sub-headings particularly in longer manuscripts.
